Dear Iftekhar,
Your sincere spirit and your words are very important, especially now. I am struck deeply by the degree of isolation that I see in both primarily Arab-Muslim communities and in primarily Jewish communities. Bringing your presence and your words...allowing people to relate to "the other" as best as they can is significant.
It is very hard to proceed with Christmas tidings of peace and joy when we witness the gruesome ongoing war in Gaza-Israel and people suffering entrenched violence in other countries.
My family is hurting badly - wisdom is precious and scarce at this time.
Thank you for your courage and the wisdom you did your best to share in your talk.
